The Odd'l Rockets Raise Launch Rod Adjustment Spring takes the place of empty motor casings , charred and dirty clothespins or messy tape to prop your rocket up off the blast deflector. With it you can:
- Raise your rocket above the blast deflector to prevent charred fins from engine flame flashback.
- Raise your rocket above the blast deflector to prevent shorted micro-clips and ignition failures.
- The Raise spring also works great to hold boost gliders, monocopters, Helecopters, and odd-rocs at the correct height for launch success.
Based on the old Centuri Positioning Spring, the Raise fits a standard 1/8" diameter launch rod. Our Extension Arm is a little longer than the older Centuri design. Brass Tubing is added to widen and to prevent the thin Extension Arm from catching under the newer Estes Style engine hooks. It easily slides up and down a launch rod but still holds your rocket in place. Any weight on the spring actually locks the spring coils on the rod!
