Real Space Rockets Little Joe II A-004

  • Model: RSR-009A
  • Manufactured by: DFR Tech./Real Space Rockets

The Real Space Rocketry Little Joe II is an approximate 1/70th scale flying model of the Little Joe II A-004 which flew a real Apollo capsule (SC-002) from White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico on January 20, 1966.

This kit employs new technology parts and processes. The ABS plastic parts in this kit are made on-site at DFR Technologies using a professional grade 3D Printer. Laser cut thin clear acrylic sheet faces can be installed on the Launch Escape System to allow it to be strong enough for multiple flights.  Additional features of this kit are the strong 1/8” ply centering rings and a pre-wrapped vinyl core body tube which allows this kit to be easy to construct yet also look like the real thing.

The artwork on the metallic ink vinyl wraps used on this kit are courtesy of George Gassaway, originally published for the American Spacemodeling Magazine  May/June 1991 issue.
